Ilm tundus soodne. Päikest ei pai...
Päev 12
2025-07-22 11:25 12. päev Tagasi Euroopas Öö möödus täielikult magamata. Tukkusin ja tukastasin kiirtoidu söögikohas, kus ilmselt minusuguste tõrjumiseks kostis pidevalt võrdlemisi ebameeldiv heli. Ei tea, kuidas nee...
Päev 11
2025-07-21 11:28 11. päev Läbi Inglismaa   Yhes Iirimaaga olid selja taha jäänud vihmased ilmad. Ärkasin Walesi vana maja kolmandal korrusel, aknasse paistva päikese käes palavuses. Olin maganud pikalt. Eilsest koht...
Päev 10
2025-07-18 10:00 10. päev Dublin-Wales       Kellele meeldib panna tähele universumi märgisysteemi, siis see saab teha omi järeldusi, kuid viimane kavandatud päev Iirimaal oli tõeliselt päikseline. Kas oli see nyyd...
Harmonic

Many years ago, a traveling musician was a common sight. People always knew who to call when a gathering deserved the sound of an instrument. The musician was a respected profession, sometimes even considered sacred. And it’s true that no joyful or sorrowful moment in life went by without music. Instruments were taken along both to the battlefield and to the ship’s deck, not to mention birthdays and weddings. Old songs often carried a sense of longing for home and loved ones.

Unfortunately, times have changed, and many of these old tradition are slowly fading into oblivion. Nowadays, it often happens that people no longer know who or how to invite when the soul yearns for something authentic.

My wish is to keep this old tradition alive and offer moments that once brightened everyday life centuries ago – accompanied by storytelling and music.

I have collected unique stories, crafted my own bagpipes and harmonicas, and as I travel from village to village and harbor to harbor, I offer the opportunity for listeners to experience the mood of times long past.

The tunes I play are popular songs from the First and Second World War days, as well as songs sung by sailors of the sailing ship era.

If you, dear music lover, enjoy these old, simple yet beautiful tunes and wish to hear something from the past, please feel free to contact me!

My instruments

Karmoška

This is an instrument I made in 2023, tuned to the D major scale. It has a soft and smooth sound, a unique instrument.

Estonian harmonic

In my performances, I mostly use two Estonian e Teppo-type harmonics.
The first instrument was crafted by Johannes Keder and was made sometime in the 1950s, tuned in Fis/B scale.
The second instrument was crafted by Heino Tartes and carries the number 155, tuned in G/C scales.

Irish banjo

An instrument that is common and beloved in Irish folk music.
